A creamy and delicious Southern baked mac and cheese made with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk until smooth.
  4. Slowly add milk while continuing to whisk until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Add cooked macaroni, turkey bacon, chicken ham, and spices to the cheese sauce. Mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding breadcrumbs on top before baking.
  • This dish can be customized with different cheeses or vegetables.
