  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni and turkey bacon to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
