1 pound ground turkey
4 slices turkey bacon
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup diced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 hamburger buns
1 cup pizza sauce
Instructions
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced turkey bacon, mozzarella cheese, onions, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the patties on the grill for about 5-6 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
During the last minute of cooking, place a tablespoon of pizza sauce on each patty and allow the cheese to melt.
Serve on hamburger buns with additional pizza sauce if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add your favorite pizza toppings on the burgers.
