9 lasagna noodles
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground turkey
8 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups ricotta cheese
3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
Add ground turkey and chopped turkey bacon; cook until browned.
Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat mixture, followed by noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat layers and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Let set for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute turkey bacon and ground turkey with mushrooms and spinach.
Feel free to add vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers to the layers.
