  • 1 cup carrots, chopped

  • 1 cup potatoes, diced

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in flour until well combined. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk.
  4. Add cooked chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir until mixed well and thickened.
  5. Pour the mixture into a pie crust, then cover with the second crust. Seal and cut slits in the top crust.
